I am sure that many of you read Ylva Edenhalls excellent article in this weekends' Svenska Dagbladet Näringliv regarding Accenture's charity projects in cooperation with the charity organisation Care.
For those of you that read the article I am sure that you saw the many similarities between Accenture's CSR (corporate social responsibility) program and the CSR program that Lium makes use of at this point of time.
The work that Accenture's Jennie Perzon has been perfoming in Africa is almost identical to what Lium's employee Marjo Abboud is doing in Thailand at present. Among Marjo's latest achievements is the facts that she has done important purchases on behalf of local schools and childrens' hostpitals and instututions, in order to finance both school materials and necessery medicins.
I find it very satisfying that more and more companies with in the consultant industry are getting involved in charity projects, and thereby follows the example set by us at Lium along with for instance Accenture.
As you are all already fully aware of, Lium as a company donates a large part of its profit to both local and international charity projects.
It is therefore once hope that several more companys within our field also starts to increase their involvement in projects of this kind, so that we within the consultant industry can make a genuine difference for the world that we live in!
